The Book of Mormon: Another Testimony of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Only Begotten of the Father. This is why I love the Easter holiday so much. It can really bring back our attention to Him who gave His life for us. No one else who has ever lived has had so much influence on so many people. He strengthens me in my trials, his life reminds me to practice loving everyone and his teachings remind me how important it is to Trust in Him.

Here is one of my favorite scriptures, “Yea, even six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem, a prophet would the Lord God raise up among the Jews—even a Messiah, or, in other words, a Savior of the world.” This scripture is written in a book of holy scripture, comparable with the Bible called the Book of Mormon.

The Book of Mormon is a record of people who lived on the American Continent from the years 600 B.C/ to about 400 A.D. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is a collection of writings of prophets, deriving its name from one of them: Mormon. Perhaps the highlight of the book is the account of Jesus Christ visiting the people after his resurrection. He preached His Gospel, healed the sick and invited them to obey the Commandments. Those who read the Book of Mormon can know of its truthfulness. Near the end of the Book, a prophet named Moroni promises all who read and pray about the book will come to know that it is true.

Maybe you’ve heard about the Book of Mormon and would like to look at it. Here’s an easy way to get a copy of the book, free of charge.
